Cue the New Year Eve posts! Are you still looking for the perfect NYE outfit?! Same!! I honestly think there are so many options for NYE that it’s overwhelming. NYE gives us a great excuse to dress up and try fun trends even if we have plans to stay in. If you’ve been wanting to break out your sequence dress, new jumpsuit, or fur vest now’s the time! Below I’ll break down some of my favorite NYE trends and give you some good (wallet-friendly) options! I think that these outfits would also be good options if you have a wedding or another celebration (like a birthday) coming up!
Velvet: I’m obsessed with velvet for the holiday season. I think velvet is always a great option if you’re trying to go for a dressier look. This year InStyle actually named colored velvet one of the most luxurious trends of New York Fashion Week and I’d have to agree! Amazon, Forever 21, and H&M all have very affordable options. Jumpsuits: I am a huge fan of jumpsuits & rompers (I kind of group them together). I think a jumpsuit is a great way to go if you don’t want to wear a skirt or dress. Sequins: This may be the most traditional NYE trend…I mean when you think of NYE you think of glam, sparkle, and sequins, right? I tend to stay away from them personally because I’m usually pasty white but I would love to be more daring and rock some sequins, they’re just SO fun!
Fur: Looking to stay warm? Fur (along with maybe a cute sherpa jacket) is a good way to go! My sister and I love raiding our grandmother’s fur collection but we usually have no place to wear it. NYE is a great time to break out that fur vest, fur jacket, or fur shall that’s always hiding in the back of your closet! Forever 21 actually carried quite a few cute faux fur vests and jackets this fall & winter. Amazon also has this lovely Fur Vest
I hope that the 4 ideas above helped you! It was really hard to narrow it down to just 4 trends to focus on. I also love metallic, leather, and fun sweaters that say things like “Cheers”.
