Jeans Under $25 {Old Navy Deal of the Day}

11 / 17 / 18

I don’t care what people say about Old Navy but I am a big fan and always have been. They do a really great job of recreating trendy pieces at great prices and they always have great basics in-stock. I took a long break from purchasing their jeans but last year I started paying more attention to their jean selection. I feel like they’ve done a great job of incorporating trends like the raw hem, step hem, boyfriend look, and distressed look.

This year I fell in love with their “Power Jean aka The Perfect Straight Ankle” Jean. It reminds me a lot of the matchstick jean from J Crew. I own the dark wash version and the white distressed denim version. I also love how Old Navy jeans fit older women. My mom has such good luck at Old Navy that she doesn’t have an issue paying full price {$44.50} for their jeans.

So I’ve been waiting for today for a while…All Old Navy jeans are 50% off!!! I try and only buy jeans when they have this deal because why would I pay more than $17.50 or $20 when I don’t have to! I highly recommend that you take advantage of this one-day sale as well and if you have any questions about size & fit feel free to message me. Below I’ll list some of my favorite styles. The pictures are clickable/shoppable links and I do make a very very small commission if you purchase through these links! One benefit to shopping online is that you may be able to find your size easier and you can purchase plus size or petite size jeans!

The Power Jean: A very mature and professional look

The Jegging: I imagine these to be super comfy & I prefer the button look rather than the elastic waste band look

 The Super Skinny: These are so flattering as they pretty much suck everything in but they’re still wicked comfy at the same time

The Boyfriend: This look can be tricky due to the oversized fit so I’d probably suggest trying these on in-store unless you know exactly what size you are

The Rockstar: I’ve been a fan of the Rockstar since they came out over 10 years ago! You cannot go wrong with them.

The Curvy Skinny: I’m not as familiar with this cut but I think that they have this option for women who may have issue with sizing when it comes to skinny jean sizing.

Run, don’t walk, to your nearest Old Navy or shop online through my links! I’m off to go to the Old Navy in Portland to try on some looks myself.

XOXO ~

Amazon Addict Shoe Series {Part One}

11 / 16 / 1811 / 16 / 18

Snow day = shop from home day?! As you may already know from previous posts, I am obsessed with Amazon. My sister is kind enough to share her Prime subscription with me so I put it to good use. One thing that I really like to buy off amazon {and in general} is shoes. One of the reasons I'm addicted to shopping for shoes online is because I feel like buying shoes online is more predictable than buying clothes online.

I am hopping to make this into a series and do a few different posts focusing on different types of shoes. Today I'm going to focus on boots & booties but I'm hoping to do a post for heels and a post for sneakers & slides.

Shopping for shoes on Amazon can be frustrating. First off, there's normally about 20 pages of results to shift through and then once you find a pair that you like they may be out of a certain color in your size. Pricing on Amazon is also difficult to understand too. On the main page it may say "from $23" which means that the shoes in your size may be way more than $23. Overall, it can definitely be a time consuming process but I've had great luck before and I hope that I can help you out by highlighting some deals that I found.

First, I'll point out the two that I bought recently! Also, if you click on the images it will bring you directly to the product page on Amazon.

Veterans Day Sale {Part Two}

11 / 12 / 1811 / 12 / 18

Have you read the Part One post yet? The other day I posted about the amazing Forever 21 sales & today’s topic is one of my other favorite stores, Nordstrom Rack! Clear the Rack has been going on since Friday and lucky for you you still have time to shop the amazing deals. I try and only shop at the Rack during Clear the Rack, when clearance is an additional 25% off. I definitely prefer shopping in store because Maine has the most amazing Rack. I’ve shopped the Boston Rack many times before and it just doesn’t compare at all. However, for the purpose of this post, and those of you who are not local, I will focus on the online deals mostly.

Before I jump into my picks I wanted to share with you what I bought…My mom and I had lunch at Tuscan Table on Friday then did some shopping and of course we had to visit the Rack. We unfortunately could only shop in the shoe section because we spent so much money in that one section and our hands were full so we had to go straight to the registers. My mom’s shoes were the only pair that weren’t part of Clear the Rack but they were still a great price at $50. She had been needing new sneakers for a little while and she found the Nike Tanjun Sneakers for $50. Listed below is what I walked away with:

  • Nike In-Season All Black Sneaker: $75 down to $8
  • Donald Pliner Gray Mule: $130 down to $34
  • Ugg Croco Short Boot {sold out}: $175 down to $40
  • Tory Burch Jolie Ballet Flat {sold out}: $228 down to $90

Although, I believe that you’ll have better luck shopping the Clear the Rack sale in stores, I think that there’s still a lot of great deals online so I’ve provided you with clickable/shoppable pictures below. One of the best deals online I think were the Men’s shoes. If you’re looking for a present for you dad, boyfriend, etc I think you’ll find tons of options below! Unfortunately, one thing that bothers me about shopping Nordstrom Clearance is the availability of sizes. Most of the Men’s shoes have tons of sizing options but the Women’s items don’t always so I apologize if you see something you like that isn’t available in your size!
